Welcome to Sourdough and Sangria!

I’m Jana (pronounced Jay-nah) the mastermind behind Sourdough and Sangria. I work full time in healthcare and run this show part time!

I’ve recently joined the “30’s club” and have now entered into my Martha Stewart era. I love all things home, cooking, sourdough, decor, gardening, and travel!

Here I’ll be sharing some of my best sourdough starter tips, recipes, affordable food prep, organization, and traveling experiences – that include some of the most delicious foods and wines!

With the New Year just kicking off, (can’t believe it’s already 2025!!), we’re focusing on slowing down, making more foods from scratch, creating balanced and affordable meals, and of course enjoying a nice glass of wine after a hard day’s work.

I created this space originally to share my tips and tricks I’ve learned from experimenting with my own Sourdough Starter, Voldoughmort, that I was gifted back in 2021 from my mom. Now I’m the one gifting my starter to friends, family, and coworkers, and teaching them just how easy it is. I want this space to make all things easy, stress free, fun, and empowering! Because if I can do it, so can you!
